Renewing structures and improving quality Other Information: The UN University strives to have an impact that is larger than its available human and financial resources. This calls for focused efforts and the allocation of resources in key areas to exploit the University’s comparative advantage. To do so, the University will address itself to a number of key strategic issues affecting the quality of its work and the outreach of its academic activities. Among these will be addressing the current asymmetry in the global presence of the University and enhancing connections and contributions to the United Nations system. The University will pursue collaboration instead of competition and strengthen ties to other leading universities. The human resources of the University are its greatest asset. It must ensure that the University’s “environment” promotes individual and team success and supports a community that values inclusion, diversity and open perspectives. Objective(s):
