One of the core activities of eGA is to train high level civil servants, NGO leaders and also municipal leaders in developing countries. Through training, eGA aims to raise awareness concerning the possibilities of ICT and to demonstrate the importance of having a solid national policy and strategy in the development towards an information society. Based on a critical analysis of the Estonian experience, we offer insight in how the use of ICT can have a meaningful and beneficial impact on everyday life and can realize a boost in a country's overall development and competitiveness. The training programmes and the trainers involved are constantly evaluated and updated.
