14.1: Vendor Qualification & Pricing

For contracts that exceed $50,000, identify and recommend a minimum of three qualified vendors who meet a predetermined price structure.

For contracts that exceed $50,000 that involve polling, registration efforts, and voter contact, where practical, the RNC should identify and recommend a minimum of three qualified vendors who meet a predetermined price structure. It is not the intent of this task force to in any way restrict the vendors selected by a presidential campaign or any other campaign. We fully support the right of any campaign to choose the vendors and staff that it feels are best equipped to perform a service. That said, concerns have been expressed that state parties who are expected to run programs would benefit from exposure to a wider array of recommended vendors and that there is a need for greater competition among vendors to spur more creativity and better outcomes and we agree.
