Streamline Agency Processes to Reduce Costs and Accelerate Delivery Other Information:
* Through ongoing education and research in environmentally sound pest remediation methods, the program ensures that effective
and safe pesticides are available for regular use and for emergency situations. Under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and
Rodenticide Act Section 18, EPA must ensure that, under the very limiting provisions of the exemption, such emergency uses
will not present an unreasonable risk to the environment. In such cases, EPA’s goal is to complete the more detailed and comprehensive
review for potential unreasonable risk conducted for pesticide registration within three years following the emergency.
