- Mission [1]
- The LAC was created to ensure that U.S. trade policy and trade negotiation objectives adequately reflect U.S. labor interests.
The LAC offers advice and recommendations to the Secretary of Labor and the United States Trade Representative on issues and
general policy matters concerning labor and trade negotiations, the operation of any trade agreement once entered into, and
other matters related to administration of the trade policy of the United States. The LAC provides reports to the President,
the Congress, and the Office of the United States Trade Representative at the conclusion of negotiations for each new trade
agreement.
