- The purpose of this Committee is to advise the Secretary of Agriculture on the conduct (scope, content,timing, etc) of periodic
agricultural censuses and other related surveys. The Committee will prepare recommendations regarding the content of agricultural
reports, and present the views and data needs of major suppliers and users of agricultural statistics. Our goals include providing
the maximum value from the National Agricultural Statistics Service’s (NASS) statistics, within available funding, andcontinually
improving our products and services. The Committee will be particularly important inbroadening and shaping the demographic
aspects of NASS survey and census activities.
