The Office of Technology Transfer, housed in the FedEx Institute, invests in promising new innovations that have the potential to be breakthrough commercial products. In addition, we license valuable intellectual property to local companies that allows them an exclusive opportunity to develop cutting-edge technologies. This provides revenue to the university and to the inventors that support and encourage development of new science and technology innovations. This transfer of technologies from the university should impact the region's economy by influencing new business ventures, strengthening existing enterprises and fueling further research.
