  • Vision [1]
    • The DTAG provides the Department, through studies and in consultations, specific recommendations on issues affecting exports of defense goods and services. DTAG members provided advice on the U.S.-UK Defense Trade Cooperation Treaty, Self-Financing Options for the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, and on Part 121 ITAR Revisions Related to Implementation of Section 17(c)of the EAA. These recommendations command the attention of key policymakers on defense trade issues, including Political-Military Affairs Bureau principals and the Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security Affairs. U.S. defense firms are directly affected by the Department's decisions on trade policies and new innovations and revisions to the licensing procedures. Through DTAG, defense trade specialists provide the Department with their views on how to clarify policies and streamline licensing procedures.
