Our Web site provides useful resources and opportunities for the public to engage in discussions on our annual budget, regulatory
agenda, and strategic planning process. These pages include scheduled public web chats which use free, publically available
web chat software to respond to public inquiries. Traditionally, these initiatives have been limited to stakeholder groups
and members of the public who live and work in Washington, DC. Online rollouts have allowed us to reach a much larger audience
than traditional methods and engage members of the public from around the country in this process. While the chats are “live”
events, the software produces instant transcripts which not only allow for continued viewing, but also lower the costs of
transcription services.
