To better integrate the advice and guidance of the Committee into the BOEMRE ESP, the OCSSC traditionally meets in plenary
session at the onset of the Studies Development Process, the cycle whereby the Bureau’s scientific information needs are developed
into specific research projects for the next fiscal year. From 2004 to 2010, the OCSSC made 43 recommendations. There were
no recommendations made at the November 2008 meeting (meeting was educational/informational only). No recommendations were
formally transmitted for the April 2009 meeting. The OCSSC made thirteen recommendations during the September 2010 meeting.
No recommendations were formally transmitted for the May 2011 meeting.
