Description For a variety of its own reasons not applicable to the Committee, the agency may implement all/most of the recommendations, but few times recommendations are not implemented. The final report and minutes of each meeting along with any advisory recommendations are distributed throughout the agency and targeted to the appropriate staff responsible for the issue of focus. The 85 percent is based on the recent DFO's experience and is not a reflection of what has been implemented over the lifetime of the Committee. In FY2011 - nearly 100% of the Committee's recommendations were implemented or are in progress. In particular, most of the recommendations provided in writing to NOAA and DOC Leadership concerning the new national ocean policy were incorporated into the Final Report of the Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force.
