We aim at making full use of the opportunities offered by ICTs in our efforts to reach the internationally agreed development
goals, including those contained in the Millennium Declaration, and to uphold the key principles set forth in this Declaration.
The Information Society is intrinsically global in nature and national efforts need to be supported by effective international
and regional cooperation among governments, the private sector, civil society and other stakeholders, including the international
financial institutions.
