Our work has helped facilitate the transfer of over $100 million to sustainable SMEs. It includes consideration of how small
businesses serve basic needs of low-income communities in a sustainable way, targeting key sectors such as energy and water.
Target outcomes likely before 2012 include: - $400 million in new investment capacity is formed to target sustainable SMEs
in emerging economies. - New Ventures operations are launched in five additional countries, bringing the total annual pipeline
to 200 companies per year. - Five New Ventures enterprises go public, increasing their sustainability impacts and drawing
more attention to the opportunities offered by sustainable sectors.
