- The Committee evaluates and recommends proposals for funding to the Secretary of Agriculture as outlined in Title IV of the
Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 (PL 111-11). In FY2010, the panel recommended 10 proposals for funding. In FY2011,
the panel designed a mechanism by with they will review proposals solicited in FY2011. Congress did not appropriate enough
funding to support additional projects in FY2011, so these proposals were not evaluated. These proposals will be evaluated
in FY2012.
