5: Competitive Sourcing
IMPLEMENT COMPETITIVE SOURCING Other Information:
USDA plans to implement competitive sourcing reasonably and rationally to achieve significant cost savings, improved performance
and better align the agency’s workforce to its mission. This initiative is aimed at improving organizations through efficient
and effective competition between public and private sources. The Department will continue to simplify and improve the procedures
for evaluating sources. It will also better publicize the activities subject to competition to maximize the benefits of this
initiative.
