The Scottish Government is consulting on options to improve rented housing dispute resolution, seeking views regarding three principal options: * Expanding the use of mediation, other forms of alternative dispute resolution and other early preventative action by landlords, tenants and relevant regulatory bodies. * Creation of a housing panel providing a problem solving forum which might make binding interim orders; before a case reached court; and * Creation of a housing panel replacing the court as the main forum for resolving some housing disputes.
