13.4: Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) Information Collection Provide supporting documentation, the collection instrument, and a detailed explanation of why that information [to be collected] is critical to our mission requirements. Other Information: The PRA requires that at any time an agency collect information from 10 or more persons, the collection of that information must be approved by OMB. The information collection process requires the Department’s bureaus and offices to provide supporting documentation, the collection instrument, and a detailed explanation of why that information is critical to their mission requirements. The process is also aligned with an Executive Order, statute, or regulation and is included in the documentation. The request for information is published in the Federal Register for public comments for a 60-day and a 30-day comment period. The public comments are considered by the bureau and office when preparing the information collection package for OMB approval. Indicator(s):
