labour market programs to encourage sustainable employment for the long-term unemployed.

The negative physical, mental, social and economic effects of long-term unemployment are well known. As a means of achieving
our goal of reducing long-term unemployment, the ACT Government will examine ways in which the Territory’s health and community
support services can be better integrated with the Federal Government’s labour market programs to encourage sustainable employment
for the long-term unemployed.
