The Recovery Act and national energy policy will generate a proliferation of new technologies, processes, and jobs relating to improving energy efficiency. The Recovery Act alone provided $5 billion in funding for weatherization assistance to low-income residents, $4.5 billion for greening Federal buildings, and $6.3 billion for state and local government renewable energy and energy efficiency and conservation efforts.
