Although upstream interventions are needed on child health, the Agency also recognizes that the aging of Canada’s population continues to increase. An aging population brings with it serious concerns with regard to the prevalence of chronic disease, the incidence of injury and the disproportionate vulnerability of this group to the consequences of public health emergencies.
