4.1: Planning
Long-range Planning Other Information:
We will make strategic thinking and planning integral elements of how the NTSB conducts its business. Consistent with the
requirements set out in the Government Performance Results Act of 1993 [GPRA], we will develop a comprehensive 6-year strategic
plan and issue a revised plan every 3 years. In addition to our 3-year revisions, we will conduct annual reviews and updates
of our strategic goals, focusing on selected performance goals during each year. Annual Operating Plans, prepared at the office
level, will support the Strategic Plan. The entire NTSB leadership team will participate in the planning process, and we will
solicit input from every level of the organization.
