Closing out a project is an important step to move forward with sustainment activities and recognizing the completion of the necessary deliverables.

Stakeholder(s):

  • Project ManagerUpon closing out the project, project managers should:
    • Verification (Performer)Verify that project objectives were met and deliverables have been completed
    • Acceptance (Performer)Acquire formal acceptance/approval of deliverables from leadership
    • Documentation (Performer)Document final lessons learned from the project and NIEM
