7: Close Out
Closing out a project is an important step to move forward with sustainment activities and recognizing the completion of the
necessary deliverables.
Stakeholder(s):
- Project Manager: Upon closing out the project, project managers should:
- Verification (Performer): Verify that project objectives were met and deliverables have been completed
- Acceptance (Performer): Acquire formal acceptance/approval of deliverables from leadership
- Documentation (Performer): Document final lessons learned from the project and NIEM
- Resource Release (Performer): Release project resources
