In the medium-term improved transportation is expected to contribute to reduced lead times on export, decreased cost of domestic
trucking, lower costs of cross-border and transit trade, lower cost to reach domestic, regional and international markets
and improved mobility and connectivity of rural communities to markets. Efforts will emphasise on improving mobility and accessibility
of the population to key road corridors within and outside Malawi while facilitating improved mobility and accessibility of
rural communities to goods and services in the rural areas at low cost.
