Expand and diversify the institute’s funding base

Other Information:

Approximately 70% of the institute‟s revenue comes from interest on the endowment. Of the additional funding received, approximately 27% comes from the government of Macau. Since the institute was founded, the size of the endowment has not changed, yet the cost of running the institute has increased steadily. The growth needed to achieve a critical mass will require increasing the institute‟s funding level. UNU-IIST will work with the government of Macau to increase its level of support and at the same time will aggressively seek support from sources outside Macau.
