Support activities of UNU and strengthen collaboration with UNU institutes

Measures: Joint projects with other institutes; e-learning, research collaboration, and other platforms used by UNU to which UNU-IIST has contributed. Through its institutes and affiliated institutes, UNU contains a richness of academic resources spanning numerous areas relevant to problems of sustainable development. The activities of UNU-IIST will require working closely with domain experts in application areas, and the institute should look within UNU to develop such collaboration. UNU-IIST will seek partnerships with other UNU institutes in order to develop applications to ICT to problems of sustainable development. For UNU to increase its impact, its various institutes must work together in a more coordinated fashion, for example in offering degree programs. The geographically distributed nature of UNU creates a need for platforms to support collaboration among the various institutes. UNU-IIST will help establish platforms to enable better coordination and collaboration of academic activities within UNU.
