Strengthen ties with other UN agencies

Other Information:

Measures: Joint projects with other UN agencies, participation in UN events and initiatives, references to UNU-IIST work in UN policy briefs. UNU was created partially to function as a think tank for the UN system. While being part of a UN agency is one of the distinctive assets of UNU-IIST, the institute has not involved itself centrally in UN initiatives and has not forged strong partnerships with other UN agencies. Thus it has failed to capitalize on this distinctive asset. The institute will seek to forge strategic partnerships with other UN agencies and to make concrete and noticeable contributions to major UN initiatives.
