    • The mission of the Board is to assess the quality of the Institute intramural research programs and evaluate the productivity and performance of staff scientists. Following each review, a written report from the Board is forwarded, with a response from the Scientific Director, NIDA, Intramural Research Program to the Deputy Director, Intramural Research, NIH. The Board’s recommendations are communicated to the National Advisory Council on Drug Abuse. The Board continues to provide indispensable evaluation and advisory functions in the management of science in the intramural research programs. During this reporting period the Board evaluated the productivity and performance of senior staff scientists of the Neuropsychopharmacology Section, Chemical Biology Research Branch; Behavioral Neuroscience Research Branch (BNRB); Neurobiology of Relapse Section, BNRB; Behavioral Neuroscience Section, BNRB; Neuroimaging Research Branch (NRB); Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychopharmacology Section, NRB; and Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy Section, NRB.
