FirstGov, now USA.gov, became part of the Federal Citizen Information Center in 2002 and is operated by the Office of Citizen Services and Communication at GSA. USA.gov is the official Web portal of the federal government and had more than 126 million hits last year. The Web site gives the public free online access to federal, state, local, territorial, and tribal government information. USA.gov has a Spanish-language version, GobiernoUSA.gov. Both sites offer options for emailing or launching live Web chats. In fiscal year 2009, GSA answered 85,000 e-mails and held 20,000 Web chat sessions through USA.gov. http://www.usa.gov/
