2: Subscription
Government employees and others subscribe to components and specifications of interest to them, thereby forming communities
of practice (CoPs) around them.
Other Information:
During Stage 2 of the ET.gov process individuals like you self-subscribe to components in which you have significant interest,
thereby forming communities of practice (CoPs) around them. We do not have the resources to automate this stage yet but it
may eventually include elements such as those identified at http://xml.gov/draft/ETLifeCycleStage2.htm. In the meantime, emerging
technology (ET) CoPs of which we are aware are identified at http://et.gov/stage2.htm#cops CoPs may use whatever means they
choose to collaborate around ET components, such as CORE.gov, the Wiki at http://gsa.gov/collaborate, the Solution Architecture
Integration Lab (SAIL), Microsoft's Solutions Sharing Network (SSN) and/or other means. Regardless of which collaborative
means CoPs choose to use, we will point to them if they are openly available on the Web and conform to our linking policies.
If you are aware of any CoPs that have formed around any of the components identified on the Search Components screen that
are not listed at http://et.gov/stage2.htm#cops, please let us know by using the Contact ET.gov mailto link on the site. If
and, hopefully, when resources are available to do so, we will provide (or link and point to) more automated means of subscribing
to components identified in the ET.gov process as well as identifying and locating the collaborative sites used by each CoP.
