    • The National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health (NACOSH) advises, consults with, and makes recommendations to the Secretary of Labor and the Secretary of Health and Human Services on matters relating to the administration of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. The committee supports the mission and strategic plans of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) by presenting the viewpoints of employers, employees and representatives of health and safety professions. The committee has members who are qualified by knowledge and experience to make useful contributions to the agency's mission for purposes of reducing employee injuries and illnesses.
