Collect the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education resources from several federal agencies Other Information: ScienceEducation.gov, www.scienceeducation.gov - Early in 2010, the Department of Energy unveiled a beta version of a new interagency website with a web 2.0 platform, collecting the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education resources from several federal agencies. ScienceEducation.gov features STEM education information from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), and the Department of Energy (DOE). Scienceeducation.gov employs social networking software designed to encourage participation by the STEM education community through feedback, comments and ratings. Within the Department of Energy’s Office of Science, the Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists and the Office of Scientific and Technical Information partnered to develop this important resource for STEM educators, students and researchers. Federal agencies have also formed a voluntary interagency collaboration, the Interagency Science Education Portal Coordinating Group, which is advising the development of ScienceEducation.gov.
