Development Gateway designs and implements custom tools and systems for development organizations seeking to manage and share information more effectively. The UN-Energy portal incorporates a newsfeed of energy-related publications from Zunia.org, helping the 25 United Nations agencies working on energy engage in closer coordination. The Virtual Statistical System (VSS), built for the World Bank, provides statistical offices in developing countries access to resources for statistical capacity building. Teamworks, an internal networking and knowledge-sharing platform built for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), connects thousands of UNDP staff and consultants from over 35 UN agencies. These portals connect development workers across agencies so that they can build on each others’ experiences and easily share new findings and innovations.
