Improved environmental health of vulnerable communities in North America Other Information: Protecting and improving the environmental health of our citizens, particularly children and those in vulnerable communities, is a priority for all three Parties. To this end, we will identify opportunities to work through the CEC to advance existing commitments to support children's environmental health and to build capacity among our indigenous peoples for the protection of the environment and the health of their communities. Recognizing that climate change could disproportionately affect some communities, the Parties also intend to strengthen existing initiatives—or create new mechanisms where needed and as appropriate—to enable community-based adaptations that could enhance resilience to impacts from climate change that affect both physical and social environments.
