The future of education, and more broadly of learning, is currently one of the hottest topics around. Particularly in the
United States, where the financial crisis and economic recession have made concerns about American educational performance
and economic "competitiveness" all the more pressing, the question of what both education and learning will look like in the
future is top of mind for many leaders. VFS research into the futures of learning provides a unique framing of the economic,
institutional, political, and technological forces currently competing over the nature of learning in the future.
