- The Committee supports the agency's mission by monitoring (through Performance Measures and site visits) the activity of the
Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Centers (GRECCs); by regularly reviewing the GRECCs on-site to ensure the quality
of their activities and/or develop recommendations intended to restore quality; and by keeping the Under Secretary for Health
and the Secretary informed of new developments in geriatrics and gerontology of which the Veterans Health Administration should
be aware.
