| Documents/USISEP/6: Dispute Resolution/6.1.ii: Intellectual Property Courts |
6.1.ii: Intellectual Property Courts Establish intellectual property courts. Other Information: Specialized intellectual property courts should be established to handle both civil and criminal matters. Establishing such courts is a practical first step toward whittling down the huge backlog of cases and making the enforcement system functional. To handle the piracy docket efficiently, judges, prosecutors, and other court personnel need specialized training. Pilot projects in select state court systems could be the first step. Action: Ministry of Law and Justice, GoI. Stakeholder(s): Indicator(s):
