The research is broad in scope and builds upon theories on complex (adaptive) systems, multi-actor policy making, integrated assessment, participatory policy analysis, sense making, resilience and playful organizations; as well as engineering and modelling paradigms, such as agent based modelling (ABM).

  • Serious Gaming Research GroupTUD serious gaming research group consists of about 12 PhDs , 4 assistant / associate professors, and 1 full professor.

  • Next Generation Infrastructures ProgramThe Next Generation Infrastructures program (www.nextinfra.nl) is co-funding the research program ‘NGI Serious Gaming for Infrastructure Design, Management and Training (2008-2014)’ which involves 5 PhD on serious gaming for spatial planning/water management; emergency management; energy/utility markets; intelligent agents and serious gaming; engines and architectures.
