Collect Federal Revenue When Due, Through a Fair and Uniform Application of the Law Other Information:
The Department of the Treasury must collect the revenue due to the Federal Government in a manner that is not only timely
but also fair. In the context of tax collection, fairness is primarily a product of compliance. Treasury works to educate
all Americans and help them meet these obligations. Treasury also works to increase the electronic collection of payments
and improve the ease of payment.
