In its 2008-2013 strategic plan, SSA identified a major objective to be the development of processes and procedures that will
make it easier and faster to file for disability benefits online. The development of an occupational informaton system for
specific use in SSA's disability determination is included as a major effort in the accomplishment of this objective.
