Consensus on the standards document within the StratML Committee. |
A ballot was issued seeking consensus to publish Part 3 initially as an AIIM best practice, to be followed by publication
as an ANSI/AIIM standard later. The results of the ballot have not yet been revealed, and based upon discussion on the Committee's
November 16 teleconference, it is unclear whether consensus can be achieved on that point. Also, since AIIM failed to renew
ownership of the stratml.net domain, it appears that it will be necessary to change the namespace for StratML Parts 1, 2 &
3. In any event, Part 3 cannot be finalized until that issue is resolved.

On our February 7 teleconference, the Committee agreed to publish Part 3 as an AIIM best practice during 2013 and place it
on the standards track at a later time, after Part 1 has been approved as an ISO standard.
