The SBA works to maintain the nation’s economy by restoring the economy of areas affected by disasters. SBA’s Office of Disaster Assistance (ODA) achieves this by offering low interest loans in the aftermath of disasters. A low-interest disaster loan from the SBA is the primary source of Federal funding for the long-term recovery of homeowners, renters, and businesses.
