- The Advisory Committee on Interdisciplinary, Community-Based Linkages (the Committee) provides advice and recommendations
on a broad range of issues dealing with programs and activities authorized under Title VII, Part D of the Public Health Service
(PHS) Act, as amended by the Affordable Care Act.The Committee was created by Congress to provide advice and recommendations
to the Secretary and to the Congress specific to HRSA/BHPr programs that support interdisciplinary, community-based training.
The Committee reviews and offers recommendations on Agency and Bureau programmatic matters in the disciplines of: Geriatrics,
Area Health Education Centers, Allied Health, Chiropractic, Podiatric Medicine, and the Quentin N. Burdick Program for Rural,
Interdisciplinary Training. The Committee is the single entity in existence which performs this function for the Department.The
Advisory Committee supports the Agency's mission to provide national leadership, program resources and services needed to
improve access to culturally competent, quality health care. The Committee addresses Goal 2: Improve Health Outcomes, Goal
3: Improve the Quality of Health Care, and Goal 4: Eliminate Health Disparities.
