For a variety of its own reasons not applicable to the Committee, the agency may implement all/most of the recommendations,
but few times recommendations are not implemented.

During the course of the fiscal year, the FIFRA SAP has provided the Agency recommendations on pesticide and pesticide-related
issues as to the impact on health and the environment of regulatory actions. The nature of the FIFRA SAP’s advice and the
Agency’s implementation of that advice do not facilitate estimating the percentage of recommendations that are fully implemented
by the Agency. While a specific percentage on full implementation of Panel recommendations is not readily available, there
are examples where the Agency has utilized specific Panel recommendations. Since passage of the Food Quality Protection Act
of 1996 (Public Law 104-170), the FIFRA SAP has provided and the agency has implemented numerous recommendations regarding
the development of risk assessment methodologies.
