- The Committee will advise the Secretary of Education in assisting two-year degree-granting institutions of higher education
in meeting the completion or graduation rate disclosure requirements outlined in the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended
by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008. The Committee's collective expertise provides a critical perspective not
available to the Department on how these disclosure requirements can be implemented effectively and efficiently, ensuring
minimal burden on institutions, and how current measures of student success could be improved. The Committee's final report
will not be delivered until FY 2012, however, and therefore its recommendations have not yet been released.
