1: Recommandations
The Committee provides a mechanism for bringing together experts with technical knowledge and practical experience who represent
all constituent groups (government, industry, public) having an interest in pipeline safety. Discussing proposed standards
and pipeline safety issues with these experts convened at the same time in an open and frank forum is both economical and
productive, leading to a stronger, more proactive pipeline safety program. No other readily available source of similar advice
exists within the governmentor industry.
