1: Recommandations
Loss of direct access to the expertise of the Board's current members (see 20B) would adversely damage our ability to function
as a Government corporation and deletion of this corporate cornerstone would mean a fundamental change in the character of
the St. Lawrence Seaway as a Government corporation. The Board has been an integral part of the Corporation since its inception
after passage of the Act in 1954. The formal advisory committee process is the best and most proper way the corporation may
obtain this unfettered and important input.
