- The REDAC and its standing subcommittees are completely engaged in assisting FAA in developing, monitoring, and evaluating
its portfolio of research and development projects. The Full REDAC meets twice each year to review and approve the work of
the Subcommittees and to provide guidance to the FAA on portfolio of projects and then again review how the FAA proposed portfolio
measures up against the guidance. The standing subcommittees do the same activities at a much more detailed level, working
with the individual project planning teams. Subcommittees also review the execution of these projects to ensure they are directed
toward their original intent, are of high quality, and are achieving satisfactory progress.
