- The Maritime Advisory Committee for Occupational Safety and Health (MACOSH) has been in existence since 1995. The maritime
industry has historically experienced a high incidence of work-related fatalities, injuries, and illnesses in its workforce.
MACOSH will provide advice on a broad range of occupational safety and health subjects, including enforcement, compliance
assistance, guidance and outreach, voluntary programs, the national dialogue on occupational safety and health, and regulatory
matters affecting the maritime industry.
