Description For a variety of its own reasons not applicable to the Committee, the agency may implement all/most of the recommendations, but few times recommendations are not implemented. MACOSH is chartered for a 2 year term. During that time, the committee meets up to three times per year. Some committee recommendations bridge multiple charters, before they are presented to the agency as a formal recommendation. Therefore, it is not possible to determine an exact number of committee recommendations.Each recommendation is studied and evaluated to understand its strengths and weaknesses before a decision of full implementation, partial implementation, or no implementation is made. While it is difficult to put precise metrics on adoption of these recommendations, OSHA believes that each recommendation, whether it is implemented or not, improves the program for which the recommendation relates.
