- Consistent with Congress's expressed desire that federal agencies work together to coordinate their juvenile justice and delinquency
prevention efforts, the Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (Council), established by Section
206 of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended, promotes and encourages federal interagency
cooperation on issues pertaining to juvenile justice, delinquency prevention and control, and missing and exploited children.
